Included in your administrative staff, a Clerk can be of great assistance to an office. Clerks can assist with all of your general office and clerical duties such as filing, faxing, scanning, sorting, copying, and distributing mail. With the ability to take on more responsibilities than a receptionist, Clerks will assist with your office organization. Clerical responsibilities will also include gathering requested information, data entry and word processing, memo and letter preparation, answering phones in a professional manner and forwarding them to the appropriate person, record keeping, and additional light administrative and clerical duties as needed to support office staff.
Qualified clerks will have strong communication skills, computer proficiency with Word and Excel as needed, and strong typing skills for alphanumeric and 10 key data entry. For clerical opportunities, a clerk will also possess excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
